No Ordinary Text

Would you agree that, for better or worse, texting has become commonplace, something we do every day on our smartphones without giving it much thought? For those of us who grew up with a stationery wardrobe care of Cranes and a reliance on the USPS to ferry those handwritten letters and thank you notes to their respective recipients, texting can feel just a tad impersonal and cold.
Yet you can’t beat its swift delivery, which is why the app Hi Note tickles me. The free app allows you to create all kinds of personally branded missives, from monograms in various colors to quirky invites to birthday cards that reflect more than a blue or gray bubble ever could. The app was created by lifestyle expert Alexis Traina during the pandemic when we all seemed glued to our mobile devices. With correspondence collaborations by Aerin Lauder, Mark D. Sikes, and Claiborne Swanson Frank, there’s a style suited to just about every texter. Click here to download the app that Hi Note says “Puts the personality back into personal correspondence.”
